Press Release: Montreal mental health non-profit hosts events throughout #MentalHealthWeek

Montreal, May 1, 2023 – Vent Over Tea, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free and confidential active listening services to individuals who need to vent or discuss their personal problems, is pleased to announce its lineup of events for Mental Health Week 2023, which runs from May 1st to May 7th.

The organization, which is based in Montreal, will host a series of events aimed at promoting mental health awareness and providing resources to those in need. The events are free and open to everyone in the community.

The first event, a mental health resource panel, will be held on May 2nd in collaboration with various organizations in the city. The panel will include experts from different fields who will discuss mental health resources available to individuals in Montreal.

The second event, a free active listening training workshop, will take place on May 3rd. The workshop will be based on the training that Vent Over Tea provides to its active listening volunteers, and it will teach participants how to listen actively and provide support to those who are struggling with mental health issues.

On May 6th, Vent Over Tea will host a sketch walk in the Verdun area, led by two local artists. The event will allow participants to explore the area while engaging in a relaxing activity that promotes mindfulness and mental health.

“We are excited to offer these events as part of Mental Health Week 2023,” said Talya Azrieli, Executive Director of Vent Over Tea. “Our goal is to raise awareness about mental health and provide resources to those in need. We hope that these events will help individuals in the community feel supported and connected.”
