About this event’s lovely collaborator:

Wulan (she/her) is an artist and an Early Childhood Educator based in Montreal. She founded Hello Sleepywhale Illustrations in 2012 in Chicago, IL, following a transition from a corporate design job to a full-time creative career. She expanded her small Etsy shop to local boutiques in Chicago, California, and New York, and collaborated with West Elm on pop-up events. Wulan discovered a passion for combining art and education and moved to Montreal in 2016 to become an Early Childhood Educator. She began teaching ECE at CDI College in 2021, transferring her classroom expertise to guide future teachers.

As a mother, her son and husband have been inspiring her to return to her creative side. Wulan and her husband launched their clothing line called Bloom Ensemble, and she is currently developing “Otto & Friends,” a brand offering products that connect parents and their children.

Being a parent allows Wulan to connect with other parents through various phases of parenthood. She especially enjoys supporting her mama community by sharing tips, passing down items, and providing a listening ear.
