An evening celebrating human connection

Vent Over Tea is proud to be focusing our annual fundraiser on the power of human connection and showcase Montreal’s talented community of local artists and public speakers.

The 2022 annual fundraiser of Vent Over Tea, a ‘Varie-Tea’ Show will take place on Thursday, May 26th, 2022, at NOMAD event space in Montreal. 100 people will be able to attend in person, and the event will be live-streamed for virtual attendees.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 through in-person ticket sales, donations, raffles, and a 50/50 lottery draw to take the next step in our growth and expand our team to bring on more full-time employees and expand our in-person service across Quebec.

SERVICE

We offer a free and confidential active listening service to all members of the local community to promote mental wellness and connection

What we do

We developed a unique training program with Stephane Bensoussan, holistic health and educational psychologist and director of PsySanté, which teaches our listeners how to actively listen and guide the conversation in a meaningful and empathetic way. Our program is based on studies that have shown the benefits derived from expressing one’s self to a compassionate listener.

Our volunteers can help you work through your problems by asking reflective questions and showing empathetic regard. We are not a psychotherapy or counselling service.
